Does this sound f'ed up to you or is it just me?
On the radio this morning a girl called in and said she thought her boyfriend was cheating on her. The radio hosts called the guy on the air and said they were calling from a medical clinic, that a girl had tested positive for an STD there and listed him as a past sexual partner. He needed to say the name of anyone he slept with in the last 3 months to confirm it was true and then they would give him more information.
WTF? I cannot believe a radio station would participate in something like this! Sounds borderline illegal - impersonating a medical professional, invasion of privacy. Something
Re: Does this sound f'ed up to you or is it just me?
Yeah that's out there. She should just go through his phone like a normal person. Ha.
Our local radio show does something similar but not as bad.
The female radio host acts like she is from a florist and offers the guy a dozen RED long stemmed roses to send to anyone he likes. She just needs the name for the person for the card.
SOOO many guys get busted this way, and then they try to back peddle and say they are just sending them to a co-worker or a female friend. WTF sends RED roses to just a friend instead of your GF or Wife??? They are sooo dumb when trying to cover it up once they are busted...
Yea, they do that here too... for some reason that doesn't bother me as much. The fact that they pretend they are from a doctor's office just feels skeevy to me... like definitely crossing the line

ha ha, yes
My local radio station does something similar, but they offer to send roses to their person of choice.
But they do not pretend to be medical personnel!
They see us rollin'...they be hatin'.
Well i would have felt bad for the guy if he was innocent but now I think he's a douche and kinda deserved it.

Lol me too.
Just his first name, and the first name of the girl he cheated with
Yeah the whole impersonating a doctor thing crosses the line. Doctors are supposed to keep stuff like that confidential.
A local radio show here also does the free roses thing. You'd think guys would catch on to this since they've been doing it for years!
They do the roses here too and I can't believe the number of guys that get busted this way.
The Doctor one crosses a line in my books.....but then again the guy was stupid enough to fall for it.
I'm pretty sure there is a law regarding testing positive for HIV that you have to let past partners know and one option is to have the clinic call them and notify them for you.
Gross. Cover stories are always sooo stupid, I'd rather just hear them fess up that they're a scrub. ALSO, what girl wants to get roses from a married man? Do the guys actually think this is going to impress any decent girl?
I was just getting ready to post this. It is usually pretty ridiculous. BUT, don't they have to have permission from the people to put them on the air?
