After 8 weeks of living with a revolving door of subcontractors, dust and noise, our basement reno is finally finished!! Now the fun part begins... decorating!!! Any suggestions for budget-friendly wall art and other accessories are greatly appreciated!
We started with a completely unfinished basement and now we have this:
main rec area:

Play area for my daughter. I have some art from Etsy that still needs to be hung, and a bookshelf is going up, but I have a lot of bare walls that need "something"!:

Wet bar (lots of bare walls, so boring!)

the clashing tile and counters... but I can live with it

Bathroom

need some accessory help here (I'm horrible at accessorizing) - it's the only storage I have in the bathroom so I need to hide cleaning supplies and store spare towels and toilet paper. I just threw a basket in there that I had around the house, but I need something bigger.

the exercise room. We still need to hang the TV and a mirrored wall would be nice...

My new home office (using an old kitchen table for now until I decide what I really want. Any budget-friendly suggestions?)

It's definitely a work in progress, but I'm so happy it's finished! now on to the FUN part... decorating!!

We added about 1500 sq ft. It's bigger than our first condo!
Thanks!!
I love it, especially the colors you chose, they're all very fun and brightens up the space.
BTW, I remember you from way back when you and your hubby were trying. I am sooo happy to see that you've been blessed with a little girl. She's adorable!
I remember you too! :-) How are you?? And thanks!! We really do feel blessed... it was a long journey, but totally worth it!! :-)
I've been good, thank you for asking. Actually got engaged on 11.11.11, after being together for 11 years and we're getting married in Maui
this Sept. Absolutely cannot wait!
It looks great!
I love that little circus tent in the play room; she's going to have so much fin in there.
I'm also totally jealous of your wet bar. We just moved and have a basement rumpus room which will eventually have a wet bar, but for now it is just a bunch of boxes. I so wish I could unpack all of DH's barware into a space as nice as that right now!
YAY!!! Congrats!!!!!
I love the yellow accents!
Great job. It looks amazing.

Wow! I love it - what don't you like about the tile and the countertop in the wet bar area? I didn't notice that it looked clashy.
Also...tell me about that couch...
super inexpensive from Ikea :-)
The counters are gray and the floors are beige (with a pinkish undertone) and individually they look fine, but together not so much. I'm looking for a kitchen rug to throw down over it. :-)
the couch is the Sinclair sectional from La-Z-Boy. I thought La-Z-Boy only made muppet recliners, but they don't! We love the sectional. Nice and deep (for spooning
) and firm, but cozy. Only downside is that it took 8 weeks to get it! Patience is not my forte...
Everything looks AMAZING - your extra footage is almost as big as my current home, lol! I especially love the colors - and OH a workout room is my dream.
Great job! (insert jealous face here)

Wow, it's like you added a whole new house! I love it. I love the choices with colors and the french office doors you made! Very well done.

I LOVE the light fixture in the play room, so cute!!!
