9lbs 13oz Jessica Simpson baby is here
http://www.tmz.com/
The Jessica Simpson baby countdown is finally over -- because she just gave birth to a bouncing baby girl ... who weighed 9 pounds 13 ounces and measured in at 21.75 inches!!!
The kid's name is Maxwell Drew Johnson -- which is pretty normal by celebrity baby naming standards.
Jessica and her fiance Eric Johnson decided to use the name Drew because it's Jessica's mother's maiden name.
Jess just released a statement on her website ... saying, "Eric and I are elated to announce the birth of our baby girl Maxwell Drew Johnson."
"We are so grateful for all of the love, support and prayers we have received. This has been the greatest experience of our lives."
Re: 9lbs 13oz Jessica Simpson baby is here
Why are you going to name a girl Maxwell? For some reason, the first thought that comes to mind is D'Angelo in that video where we're looking at his abs.
Anyway, that baby was ginormous. I hope for her sake she did have the c-section.
I like that name. Then again, I have a daughter named Ryan.
Yes,I'm smiling...I'm a marathoner!

Right?
I read that the baby's name is Maxwell Drew and thought, oh, I like that.
Kept reading and saw "happy to announce our baby girl's birth" (or something to that extent) and did a double take.
I like the name, I wouldn't use it for my kid, but I like it. But then I hate the name Nora with the heat of 1000 suns so I can see how my opinion might veer from that of the board.
I like the name. My BFF's middle name is Maxwell (its a family name) so it doesnt seem that off to me. Plus, I had heard a rumor that they were going to name the baby Jerrica (Jessica +Eric) so anything but that sounds blessedly normal.
I can't wait to see what she wears to leave the hospital.

crosses you off welcome baby party list
In that case, Maxwell Drew is an absolutely wonderful name.

Mothereffer. Our son's name is going to be Maxwell! Bah.
At least he'll, you know, be male.
NMS, but I've seen it for a girl before. One of my neighbors named their daughter Maxwell.
It could have been much worse.

LOL! I think it's a reaction to a specific Nora that makes me hate that name so.
LOL!!!
Sure the name is a bit 'masculine' but it is pretty darn normal by celebrity standards, so I don't mind it.
Although there goes Maxwell off my baby boy name list - it will get too trendy.
We're currently torn between Lucas James and Mason James. Thoughts?
They announced this name weeks ago. I don't think its so terrible. Maybe the boy/girl name thing is NMS, but on the celebrity naming scale, hell on the Bump scale, its not so bad.
Also I don't think 9 lbs is that big for a baby.
I really like Lucas James.
Im glad she finally had the baby. Here come the 'baby weight' tabloid covers..
FTW
I'm like that with Shelly. I've never met a Shelly I didn't want to punch.
Laurier, my vote is for Lucas James!
Missus, I was 9 lbs. 6 oz. at birth and my mom still brings up the hellish labor she had with me. Then again, she was 18 when she had me so I guess it really could have been that much of a nightmare for her.

Yes. This baby was nearly a full 2.5lbs over the average newborn. My nephew weighed 10lb 1oz when he was born and he was huge.
Interesting name. I am obviously not opposed to boys names for girls, my daughter being an Avery and all, but that name just seems so masculine. I guess it could have been much worse if that Jerrica rumor has any weight.
