Me:
We got a new back door with a pet door in it. I no longer have to get up eighty five times a day to let our 6 animals in and out, and it's insulated so no heat gets in, either. And no flies. It seriously has made my life so much easier and better, in this little teeny way.
We got a new AC just in time for hot weather. I have not been hot at night since; so I am sleeping better. Thank you, god.
I stopped gaining weight. THANK YOU WEIGHT GODS.
Dh is looking for a better job; yay! this will improve his mood, just going through the exercise. He has TWO interviews now, lined up for next week. pleaseohplease
My kids are happy. School is almost out; summer is upon us.
I can afford the gift I want to get ds1 for graduation.
Re: Share good things that are happening in your life right now
Thos are all great things! How did the financial aid situation work for DS1?
I only have 4 days left of work, and the reaction from my colleagues and clients has been amazing and wonderful and I'm so happy I'm doing this and I'm positive I'm making the right choice.
I just had some delicious tomato feta soup with a pretzel roll for lunch.
I've lost nearly 30 pounds since starting Prozac in December.
We are getting a new fence for our backyard by the middle of this month. We're going from 4' cedar pickets (probably at least 20-30 years old) to 6' privacy fence with cedar planks.
-Looking for a place with Thor, which is exciting, albeit anxiety-inducing.
-Starting to prepare for the play I'll be in this summer (and that just means starting to memorize my lines -- rehearsals don't begin until late June, but I'm the least experienced actor, so I want to be off-book from the jump).
-Planning beach vacation in June. I don't care that it's with my parents. It's the beach. I love the beach. And my mom will buy me ice cream.
So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.
I am taking Thursday and Friday off. I'm getting my hair and mani-pedi on Thursday and spending the day relaxing all by myself. Friday is my birthday and DH has some plans for us including a massage. Saturday I'll be drinking margaritas to finish the celebration.
In June I get to go to a huge meeting in Chicago with a scholarship with a cancer research advocacy group I just joined.
Soon to celebrate the day we met, even if the day before marks when we said goodbye.
I'm getting back on the weight loss train. I have gained weight and it sucks. I went through to much to end up looking like I did before.
Things with SS older brother are still going well. I feel like I'm making a difference in his life.
I broke up a fight yesterday between two teenage boys at my work and didn't get hurt. I used my bad ass voice and stepped in the middle. I acted without thinking and it could have ended badly for me but it didn't. One of the boys actually cried and I hugged him. He needed a hug and he doesn't seem to have anyone in his family that will give him one.
My neice and nephew are graduating with high honors from high school this month and are going to U of M in the fall. I'm so proud of them. Plus, I love that they will be at the same school. They have a strong twin connection that has never gone away.
1. We just got new sliders put on the back of the house. We have a great view now just sitting inside
2. DD is turning 6 this month and will be graduating Kindergarten in June. Time is flying by
3. DS is just doing so many new things before my eyes. He amazes me so much
4. DD is sooooo in love with DS. She doesn't want to do anything without him. She plays with him, loves taking a bath with him and cuddles with him at bedtime and he just adores her. I want to value the closeness they have right now because being 5 years a part it is highly doubtful they'll like each other later lol
5. DD is healthy and pneumonia free. We also got her immune studies back and she does not have an immune deficiency.
My hair is amazing lately. I credit pomegranate Wen and almond oil.
I continue to be amazed that I could ever deserve such a great family. I freaking love H and KHc beyond all sense, and we have such a good time and we're so lucky.
We signed the release for the insurance company of the other driver, so we have a check in the mail for $5k on its way to us.
My head does not hurt right now.

I'm trying to get healthy in my head and in my body.
Yeah that's right my name's Yauch!

...and in one month my H and boys will embark on a 6 week camping trip all over the US, Canada and Alaska
DH and I are in a happy smoochy cuddly place. Things always ebb and flow so I'm glad we're in a happy spot right now!
My sister's wedding planning is SUPER fun. It's been really cool getting to know her fiance's family. They are fabulous! We're doing dress shopping again on Thursday and I can't wait!!!
DH is back to full time work hours plus whatever overtime. That means he is back up to what he was making two years ago before having hours cut. MONEY IS AWESOME.
We are planning an awesome new deck and I'm getting DH a grill for his 30th birthday (he'll get it early so we can use it all summer). Can't wait until it's done - our old patio is as ugly as a wart on a witch's butt.
I can type really fast without looking which is making copying notes today really easy!
H and I are getting along so well right now, it's been great. We just really enjoy each other's company and it's nice.
My vacation was awesome.
I'm having a baby in like 4 months!
No one in my house has the flu at this moment!
Yay!
Yay!
Yay!
(It took a few weeks)
I have four days til my semester is over - woot! In reality, I should be done by Wednesday or Thursday (::knocks on wood::).
I'm spending the weekend relaxing and hanging out with a girlfriend. I am seeing a Cirque du Soliel show on Saturday night - yay!
1) The 5 days a week at the gym has been paying off and I finally see my stomach going down and things getting firmer. Plus the scale moved a bit, which is nice.
2) DH has been amazing lately and we have been getting along soo very well. I pray it lasts and we continue to be nice to each other.
3) DS decided last night that he was done wearing pull ups at night and slept in underpants and kept them dry ALL NIGHT LONG. I am soo freakin' excited!
4) We scored free tickets to the English Beat concert at the House of Blues in two weeks. Hooray for date night!
1. The rescue pup we got last week is totally awesome and so cute when he plays with our kittens, and I'm so relieved to have achieved that rare all-animals-get-along-nothing-psycho utopia. AND he stopped humping!
2. H's promotion and raise are effective today.
3. Summer is coming!
4. The townhouse is finally coming together instead of looking like some Craigslist crackden.
5. I feel like I've finally snapped out of the newlywed blues the past couple of weeks and am back to my real self and am so relieved.
I have really just been enjoying life:
I start photography class on Thursday.
I have made a few new friends that seem promising. People have been invitng me to fun things right and left and I feel really good about myself.
I have been LOVING hot yoga and I have some definition in my upper abs and legs that I have never had in my life. I am looking forward to summer now.
I just ordered a really fun new lace tower lamp to replace my lamp that has been broken for months.
My landlord finally fixed my leaky shower today... woohoo
My house is clean.
I've maintained my post-baby weight loss, even now that I'm done nursing, and weigh less than I did when I got married. H has encouraged me to go get some new shorts for summer, because my old ones give me diaper butt. Yay for shopping!
Natalie's dance recital is in 2 days, and I can't wait! We're going to pick up some flowers for her and everything. It is really low key, in a church fellowship hall, and only about an hour long, but I'm excited beyond reason.
That sorority sister that I randomly googled last fall? We're meeting up at the zoo on Saturday.
I haven't seen her in about 7 years, and we were best friends in college, but fell out of touch after she got married.
H has discovered a builder in our future town whose houses we're completely in love with. This discovery got me a little excited about our move (I have been really sad about it lately, so this is actually a really good thing).
OH! How could I forget? H starts his new job in exactly 2 months, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't excited about the substantial salary increase. No, money can't buy happiness, but it can buy me a cleaning lady, and a weekly meal plan that doesn't include both pancakes and spaghetti, once a week.
1. Work isn't stressing me out like it has been lately.
2. We're starting to look for houses and have a showing on thursday for an adorable house that I already want.
3. We're going to start TTC next month.
4. I get to go back home in two weeks. It'll be my first time back home since Christmas.
the mr & mrs blog
1. I have fun travel plans almost every single month between now and December.
2. My girl cat was going through a period where she was having more frequent asthma attacks. We already give her a daily inhaler, but had started giving prednisone too, which is bad. They've stopped now and I'm so happy.
3. H LOVES his new position and is getting a ton of really awesome feedback from the community. He's such an incredible person and it's so nice to see him getting the recognition he deserves. I love him more than anything and he's my best friend so it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy for him.
4. I found the perfect veggie burger recipe. It is DELICIOUS and has the same mouth feel as a real burger, which is awesome.
5. My sister is the happiest I've ever known her. She's moving to the Galapagos with her new husband and her daughter soon. It's going to be hard on my mom (which is the only down side) but it's just really terrific to see her finally having a positive outlook on life.
6. I got a few cute dresses / skirts that I really like for my trip. I dig that I will be respectful, but not frumpy.
Vacation to California next month to see my family! I'm really excited that S is going to be on a plane for the first time, he's so excited.
I just ordered two totally cute dresses from J Crew.
I've given up drinking completely until I lose my last 10 lbs of baby weight (well, except I'm allowing myself two glasses of wine on our anniversary dinner next weekend). I'm happy about this, I think I've been overdoing it lately so I'm happy to have that off my shoulders.
Our 3-year anniversary is this Thursday!
We booked tickets to go to Mass for my grandmother's 98th bday. H is going to meet her for the first time and he'll see my hometown.
I finished filming my documentary (project for class) and I am really proud of my interviews.
I replaced the ring I had in my nose with a cute sparkly flower.
Honeysuckle is blooming here (which I didn't know happened!) and it smells incredible outside.
My group is going to a really fun kibbutz for the weekend, doing a winery tour, and seeing an Arab-Israeli children's circus!
-H took a new job within his company in January. He's been much happier and relaxed since then.
