What color/type shoes?

I have a dark purple dress I am wearing to my brother's wedding next month. What color/kind of shoes would you wear?

 The dress has straps like this on both sides, is dark PURPLE and comes further down to my knees. It isn't as fitted as this one. I'm relatively short at 5'4". I have great legs so I was thinking heels.....but kinda stumped since I don't go shopping very often.Since the fabric isn't super formal, I was thinking I could go a little more daring with the shoes.

Any thoughts?

We wore the same color for my sister's wedding. I wore a metallic silver peep-toe, one of my sisters wore a nude patent peep-toe, another wore a strappy nude heel.

If you want to lengthen your legs (at least visually), opt for a nude heel. If you want contrasting shoe (knowing that it will shorten even the longest legs) go for a bright yellow.

Very pretty color.  I'd wear my patent nude peep toe pumps with that dress.
