2. What do you wish you had known by the time you turned 30 or what do you HOPE you know by then? I plan on turning 29 again at least 40 more times. I hope by the time I turn 30, I'll know what I want to be when I group up.

, what do you do together? We'd watch a movie. We're probably going to inventory those books he got at some point soon!
1! Landscape the whole outside, redo our small half bath and fill up the guest room with furniture.
2@ As far as home buying goes, get your own realtor- don't use the one who is listing the house. College isn't hard afterall. I waited until I was 27 to go back and I get my diploma in 12 days! Then off to Grad school. Better now than never!

1. New carpet for family room, upstairs, and staircase, a paver patio for the firepit, and landscaping.
2. I just turned 30 a couple months ago, so I'm not sure I can really reflect on that.
3. Whole house fan + ceiling fans in all the bedrooms (check!), execute a noticeable portion of the landscaping plan (in progress), and redo the downstairs bath.
4. Plan our trip to the Grand Canyon next month. Make a nice dinner.
2. What do you wish you had known by the time you turned 30 or what do you HOPE you know by then? 30 was a long time ago. lol I guess that I wish that I had known more about investing for the future.
3. What are your top 3 D&R goals this year? Purge/organize/fixinish projects, sell our house and move closer to DH's work.

, what do you decide to do together? Cook, relax in the spa, maybe play a game....talk.
1. You get $20,000 to reno your home. What do you do with it? I think, since we're renting right now, we'd probably buy new furniture and patio furniture, as well as have the piano refinished, etc.
2. What do you wish you had known by the time you turned 30 or what do you HOPE you know by then? Well, I'm over 30, but most of what I've "learned" about myself I learned in the latter part of my 20s. Most noteably that I probably think about myself WAY more than others do, so I shouldn't be nearly so concerned about the opinions of others.
3. What are your top 3 D&R goals this year? 1. Buy another house and/or find a lot to build on. 2. Put laminate or engineered hardwood in this rental house (the carpet is making me feel sick pretty often). 3. Replace our poorly-aging loveseat. I'm eyeballing the Ikea Ektorp for now, so that there's a slipcover to wash when one of the critters inevitably barfs on it.

, what do you decide to do together? If there's no major work needing done (like landscaping, repairing the pond pump, etc) then we'd probably either watch a DVR movie or read books, then go to bed. We are pretty lame.

1. You get $20,000 to reno your home. What do you do with it? Add a front deck and update some landscaping (remove a few trees). If it could only be spent indoors...replace the flooring in the undamaged rooms and remodel my bathroom.

3. What are your top 3 D&R goals this year? Replace my pink toilet lol. Um...clean up my flower beds. And unpack everything that has been in storage since we had to move out after the storm

2. What do you wish you had known by the time you turned 30 or what do you HOPE you know by then? I should have purchase a home when I was 22, I had the money and I would have made a huge profit.
3. What are your top 3 D&R goals this year? Complete the renovations on our home (we closed on April 21st) We will put down new wood floors, complete renovation of the kitchen and 1.5 bathrooms. (see link below)

I'd get new floors in the whole house, and new kitchen cabinets and counters. Our kitchen is small; this would all be totally doable for 20 grand.

I hope to know how to know how to be content with what I have. I'm really working on it, but it's a little hard to see friends get things so easily when you're working so hard and not getting where you want to be. So I guess figuring out how to be humble...

New floors in the kitchen, finish painting the trim in the house, and landscape the rest of the yard.

We usually watch a movie and cuddle with the dog while drinking some wine. Yep, we're super exciting.
1. Reno our small bath and kitchen. New cabinets in the our tiny kitchen (our appliances are all new so they are fine.) Totally gut the bathroom... but again, it's small, so I think we could do both for $20,000 fairly easily.
2. I wish I had really studied dance when I was younger. Last summer I took a beginner ballet class for the first time, at 36, and I love dancing, but I'm just to old to really do anything with it. I currently study contemporary dance and it's so wonderful!
3. 1. new kitchen sink, 2. hiring an electrician to replace all of our over head lighting, 3. we already had the kitchen repainted, so I'm going to cheat and count that as our third for this year... (We have a cruise coming up and I'm doing a ton of work in our garden, so there goes our d/r budget.)

1. You get $20,000 to reno your home. What do you do with it? wow, we have so many project right now, this is tough. I would probably do a complete backyard redo and remove the concrete patio, put down a paver one, dig the french drain, install a shed and do landscaping/sod.
2. What do you wish you had known by the time you turned 30 or what do you HOPE you know by then? I'm only 25, so in 5 years I hope to learn to be more patient with decorating/renovating and to have a better sense of my own style.
3. What are your top 3 D&R goals this year? dig a french drain in the backyard, get the family room to where we can actually use it as a family room and not a work room, move into the master bedroom.
