Moms - favorite maternity jeans
I'm probably going to start shopping for maternity clothes in the next few weeks. I normally wear express jeans, but they don't make maternity. Any recommendations that aren't insanely expensive?
Re: Moms - favorite maternity jeans
I know you said nothing insanely expensive, but imo, maternity jeans are worth it. Spend the money and buy ONE pair of designer maternity jeans, and you will live in that one pair for your entire pregnancy. Trust.
That said, I also had a couple of pairs of Motherhood jeans I liked.

Which designer jeans would you recommend?
Yep. The one pair I have right now are ON and I love them! I'm waiting for them to go on another good sale so I can get a couple more pairs.
ETA: I just remembered that I do have a pair of Liz Lange's from Target but I hated the fit so I never wear them.

I really liked my gap sexy boot maternity jeans.
I did in fact feel sexy in them lol.
I actually felt these fit really well. And they made my asslook amazing.
I liked these as well. So comfy and they fit really well.
I loved Noppies - both for work pants and for maternity jeans. I wore the hell out of my Noppies pants, and then passed them off to a friend. They are really great.
I had a pair of True Religions, which I normally don't like but they flattered my inflated asss.
I also loved an inexpensive pair from h&m. They were really stretchy but maintained their shape so they grew with me and I also wore them after.
Ditto Lucy. Its worth it to have one pair of great jeans that make you feel comfortable. I know this is personal preference, but my one piece of advice would be to get full panel jeans because you may outgrow the demi panels after awhile. Which is fine if they were cheap to begin with, but lousy if you splurged on them.
Gaps sexy boot cuts are nice--that was my splurge jeans.
I also bought some Motherhood Maternity jeans on super clearance (like, 6.99 clearance), and even though the fit was fug as hell, I managed to tailor them into something reasonable. No way in hell I would have spent more on them though.
I really liked this pair, especially for post-partum. They look like regular jeans and just have the extra stretch in the back.

All I know is that if I had to do it over again, I'd get full panel. Get full panel!
eta: I had some gap ones w/ the demi panel, and those were really comfortable until I got too big. The butt stretches though, so I mostly wore them around the house or to the grocery store or whatever. But they were probably the most comfortable pair until somewhere in the last part of the second tri or the beginning of the third tri.
I had 2 pairs of designer maternity jeans - Paige jeggings and J Brand boot cut, both with a zipper and button in the front and just little stretchy panels on the sides. The Paige rise was too high, and I really should have sent them back, b/c they got uncomfortable fast. The J Brands were lower and more comfortable, but in the end, I couldn't wear them either because the button dug into my bump. Of course, in the very end, I couldn't wear anything but dresses and maxi skirts, so...
All of them are nice to have now!
