$ of marzano tomatoes?

what is a decent price for a 28oz can of marzano tomatoes?  Our Costco has them 3 for $9 but are discontinued....just thinking if whether to go pic up another pack or not.  I haven't used them in forever since I haven't been able to find them when I am thinking about them

I'd like to know the answer to this too. Theres only one store in my area that carries San Marzanos and they are almost $6 a can!

I can usually get them for about 3$ a can (I watch for sales)

 

My Costco has them cheaper but it's for the gigantic cans

it varies. there are the san marzanos grown in jersey (the white labels with the different color tomatoes on it) or other ones grown int he US which are cheaper (i think a large can is about $3) which i can find at about 3 stores near me and then there are the real ones from italy-same size can-for maybe $4ish a can. since i love them and know that they make a huge difference taste wise in my marinara sauce i get the best ones i can find. my fairway market has 6 different brands, my italian market has 4. my regular supermarket doesn't sell them.  but imo if you're only buying a few cans really-it's only what $4 more than regular tomatoes? worth it.
