NDR: DH just called and informed me...
that he will no longer have a job as of July 1st. They are laying off his entire department. This is not great timing as we are expecting our first child in June. I hope that he can find something sooner rather than later, but we don't live in the biggest of cities, so jobs are scarce and there probably isn't much if anything in terms of what he does now.
So, all our renovating that we had planned will be postponed...until who knows when.
And, I guess I better start budgeting and meal planning to save us some money.
This really sucks!!!!

Sorry to hear that. If you don't already spend time on Money Matters, the ladies there are pretty knowledgeable and would happily help you work out a new budget. I am mostly a lurker there but have gotten some great information!
