Chalk board paint over normal paint?
My husband and I were recently at this really cute little bar and the tops of their tables were painted with chalk board paint. I'd never even thought about it for on top of tables, but it was really fun and looked normal until you used chalk with it.
We have an old table and chairs, I just finished re-claiming the chairs painting them black and upholstering the seats.
I'm wondering, should I do a coat or 2 of regular black paint and then do a layer of chalk board paint? The craft store only had 1 jar of black chalk board paint and its a looong ways to the other store in our area.
Thanks in advance

Good point about the hard ware store. we have an Ace just down the street.
I'm 45 minutes into my 5 minute sanding break. lol.
I'll check out the hard ware store tomorrow
I'm pretty sure Ace even has chalk board spray paint lol.

Awesome. I will keep that in mind. I'm excited to try it out. So glad I have a cheap old table to play with. If I screw it up, no foul!
Not sure how happy the hubs will be coming home to a half sanded table. LOL. We weren't supposed to start this project till next weekend. But it was bothering me the table not matching the chairs
He will live. Or, he will be overdramatic until it's done. Depends on the husband lol. (Mine would be like "meh, whatev.")
