Does anyone on here ride and own horses?

Ahhh I used to! I do miss the horse world!

My mom still has one, so I do get to borrow hers from time to time. 

One day I will have one again...they're just such a big responsibility, with us recently moving, getting married, and trying to start a family..it just isn't the right time for us now. 

Good luck finding some folks here though..I think there are some around!

I'm another former rider.  Once I was out of college and not living with my folks I couldn't maintain a horse any longer.  They live about 20 minutes out of town, and it wouldn't be feasible to get out there to care for a horse daily.  I can't afford to board any closer to the house.  I miss it a lot!

I used to! We grew up with several horses (had a barn and fields and stuff), and then I was on the equestrian team in college. I rode a tiny bit after school but mostly couldn't afford it and now don't have the time.

Now the only riding I do is when I go on vacation. Boo!

I have a horse!!! I have Paint that I show hunters and starting to show jumpers.

I ride! I used to lease and teach lessons on the side, but recently quit that due to some moral issues I had with the owner of the barn. Actually doing a vet check tomorrow on a horse I want to buy. I show about once a year, and when I do it's hunters and jumpers.

I used to ride every day until I met DH, then I moved away and my horses are still with my grandparents. I miss riding

Also used to ride but stay connected by volunteering for events. Just got home from Rolex in Lex, KY. Used to do Pony Club, 4-H, and some other shows. Also got married have no money so no horses right now.

Ah, that's awesome! Hunter Jumpers and me do not mix AT ALL. I once rode in a clinic with Denny Emerson and my horse took the jump so high, that I fell off and so did both of the stirrups. Embarrassssing

I went to school and learned dressage from some of the top competitors out there. I have 2 kids now, so no money and no time, but some day I'll get back into it
