keep or return?

So, I went shopping today.  H said I needed new shorts, and he was right.  I'm down about 13 lbs from where I was last summer, and my old shorts gave me diaper butt.  I went to Old Navy, and found a cute navy chevron patterned skirt, 5" khaki shorts, and these:

Fug?  Keep?  Return?  I'm just iffy about them.  Not because of the fit, but because they're jean shorts.  And I feel like I might be too old to wear those (I'm closing in on 33).

    I like 'em.
  • They're cute.

  • Depends on what you plan to wear with them. If we're talking about graphic tees, then yeah, back it goes. But cute blouses, keep.

  • If you feel iffy at all I'd return them. It's my experience that when I don't feel completely confident in what I'm wearing I never actually wear the clothes again.
  • I have them.  I never considered that I might be too old for them and I'm 31.  You need cheap clothes that fit, which is exactly why I have them.  Keep and enjoy.

  • I think they are fine, but if you are iffy about them, probably return them. I usually never wear the stuff I'm iffy about and then I'm mad I didn't return them and that I've wasted money.

more like just plain-ish cotton t-shirts and tank tops.  Its already hot here, and my wardrobe is very wash and wear (since I usually go through at least 2 shirts a day thanks to my kids).  No patterns really, just solid colored t shirts, like this, or something similar:

Also, you now know why I never post in the OOTD threads.  :)

  • I am currently looking for a pair of denim shorts right now.  I like those. The ones I have from last year are chambray and too big.  I think those are cute, and I like ON's shorts because they have different length options.

  • They are fine,  not really any different from jeans and it's not like they are frayed at the edges.
  • Excellent.  They stay, and I now have clothes to wear.

    Happy mother's day to meeeee!

Very cute. I vote keep them.
