sad episode, bummed about Rachel choking and Coach Beiste going back to Cooter
and I could not stand half the songs, I fast forwarded through Puck's song and the stupid "Rain in Spain" song.
only song I really enjoyed and downloaded was Shake it Out. Oh and Cell Block, do love that song

Re: Glee 5/1
i actually loved all of the music in this episode, but i'm a total musical theater nerd.
i just KNEW rachel was going to forget the words...but she KILLED that kelly clarkson song. it was awesome.
and i have a terrible feeling something awful is gonna happen to coach bieste.
My Shopping Blog
I preferred Smash's version of Shake It Out, and agreed with Sue on Cell Block Tango. Where was Quinn? Last week Sugar and the Ireland kid were missing, this week it's Quinn.
I really think I'm done with Glee after this season.
I generally agree with you.
I liked Katharine McPhee's Shake it Out cover better too.
Bieste's storyline made me so sad. I knew she was lying about moving in with her sister, but seeing the bits of her back with Cooter made my heart hurt. I really hope nothing happens to her.
I didn't see Rachel choking during her audition. Apparently my powers of prediction are seriously lacking.
And I felt badly for Puck and his F on the final. I guess he's not graduating? Do we get Puck for another year?
The only musical performances I enjoyed were "Cell Block" and "Shake It Out". People on my FB were going nuts over Kurt's performance, calling it his best ever, and that stupid rock version of The Rain in Spain. Meh. Maybe it's just that I'm not a musical theater guru.
Quinn was missing the week before last, too, with no explanation.
I get it - Rory and Hippie Jesus only have X-number of episodes, and so do some of the "lesser" characters, but they just disappear with no related storyline and it's annoying.
The "Rain in Spain" song made me want to stab my own ear drums. Seriously terrible. Terrible choice, terrible execution. And I love My Fair Lady, so it was like a double insult. lol
I'm not surprised Rachel choked. The girl is so tightly wound all. the. time. Sometimes it stresses me out just to watch her scenes. Sad.
Loved Shake it Out, but I agree that the Smash version was better.
This episode....sigh. Glee WTF?! Remember when Glee was fun and cute and quirky? And every other episode didn't have to be a Very Special Episode?
We JUST had the whole bullying/suicide/don't text and drive thing and now we have to have domestic violence? Just...why? And I swear, if they have the coach get murdered by her husband I am done. Also, the episode about domestic violence is entitled Choke. Sigh.
Also totally agree about the music this episode. I loved Cell Block Tango because I love that song in general, but the rest was bad. And in no way does Kurt have the power in his singing voice for Music of the Night.
I'm annoyed by the story lines. Quinn has been disappearing after her miraculous recovery from a near fatal car accident. Seriously, they made it seem like she returned 2 days after it happened, and she was hunky dory just in wheel chair form. Super realistic. Then, although it shouldn't bother me, the fact that the non-seniors were hanging out with the seniors on skip day. Technically Artie is not a senior. Neither is irish dude or Sugar. They need to figure this crap out.
I won't complain about hearing Santana more, though. Love it.
"Let it Be"
"I wanted it to be you, I wanted it to be you so badly"
I think they should have done an entire show about Beiste if they wanted to touch on domestic violence, instead of just a couple of minutes tucked in between a bunch of other much less intense stuff. It's almost like they said, "You know, we haven't had anything dramatic in a few episodes... how about DV?" Lame and crap.
Roz made me laugh when she was yelling at the girls for dancing in their underwear. Brittany cracked me up asking Beiste if Cooter broke his hand hitting her, even though it was completely inappropriate. I love that girl.
I'm glad Kurt followed his gut and did well. I'm not surprised Rachel choked considering all the pressure she puts on herself. She' not creative at all and I am so glad I did not have to suffer through listening to her sing yet another Barbara Streisand song.
I almost died from WTFing when the guys started singing Rain in Spain. Although it was 3 in the morning, so it is quite possible that they were all slap happy and decided to do a terrible rock rendition.
I would have been completely done with this show after the insane Christmas episode, but MH keeps watching it. The show is not plot driven and only every fourth or fifth episode has good music. Gah.
I heard it as "did you break his hand?" but I wasn't watching that closely. I think it was them seeing her as so tough that they can't imagine her not sticking up for herself. I could be totally wrong.
I liked The Rain in Spain but I felt it was weird - I can suspend belief a little but those guys knowing that song? I'm just not sold.
I think the thing that really makes me angry about the Rachel choking storyline is that you KNOW she is going to have everything work out in the end. So even though she's totally unlikeable, she blew her audition, and she's wrapped up in her idiot boyfriend, the writers will find some way to miraculously make her life perfect.
I need for Glee to stop attempting very special episodes. Stop it.
