What kind of decor do you have? Decor! ha!
Are your walls painted? yes, the wall with the fireplace is a dark brown and the other walls are a lighter color. It actually looks really nice
Bonus if you PIP!
For serious though, my living room is really small and I've taken down a lot of stuff since we are moving.
How about a Link?

What does it look like? It's pretty big for homes around here, which means it's still pretty small by everyone else's standards
What kind of decor do you have? Um... eclectic. I have my TV on my grandma's 1950s stereo console, a tansu by the front door with Japanese stuff on it, a rocking chair made by my stepbrother, and a huge Craigslist sofa half-eaten by a bunny. There is a wood-burning fireplace we've never used in the 2.5 years we've lived here, but we presume it works. Over our hardwood floors we have a large beige rug that I feel really brings the whole room together. There is a large corner window with semi-sheer blue curtains.
Are your walls painted? A lovely home-stager's beige.
Bonus if you PIP! No time this morning, sorry!
I also have a corner with bookshelves where my H's sports collection and my Yoda collection are on display along with a bazillion DVDs and toys.
Our living rom is very large and our whole house is very open, so getting rid of empty too much empty space was a little hard. Our house has a warm artisitc feel to it.
Our whole living room is a Mocha color with 2 leather couches and on the wall behind the bigger couch there is a VERY LARGE Red painting of a Tree. We have Red curtians. We also have 3 large Burnt mocha vases on one of the inn tables. A book case with my sculptures between some of the books on each side of the TV. Above that is another large painting. On the back wall that leads to the back porch are a lot of picures of family and friends. with Wall Deco words above it.
It looks like the inside of a mountain lodge.
Largish stone fireplace in the middle of the space. Mustardy yellow walls. Multiple windows with drapes ceiling to floor. 3 area rugs, all different patterns. 2 brown leather couches, 2 brown leather club chairs and one upholstered couch. 2 coffee tables, heavy, wooden tables.
It suits our home but truthfully I am kind of over it. Too big a project to change though.
The 'bones' of the room are pretty neutral... gray walls, white trim, white mantle with gray & white marble gas fireplace, beige couch, dark stained rocking chair, TV & a black modern TV stand. I have 3 landscape paintings... 2 are from Alaska, grouped over the couch, one is of a pond & barn in rural PA over the fireplace.
I layer in color with accessories, mostly. ATM I have a few cobalt glass pieces on the mantle, navy pillows and a few bright blue afghans.
What does it look like? Our apartment has a living room that sort of spills into the dining room - tall ceilings and a big window and sliding door that lead to the patio and have views of the water.
What kind of decor do you have? I guess you could say we have a classic style with a nautical bent. Navy blue couches, a massive coffee table, black bookshelves, black sideboard along the back of the couch that serves as a bar, an antique church pew, and the TV. My desk is also blue and is in the far corner, then we have a massive hutch that leads to the dining area, where we have our kitchen table, chairs, and a small bookshelf full of cookbooks.
Are your walls painted? Nope, we rent.
Bonus if you PIP!
What does it look like? We have a small townhouse. The front door enters right in the living room, up against the side wall. The LR is about 300 sq ft or so. The stairwells are in the middle of the house and everything goes in a circle around them (enter in the LR, walk under the stairs (sort of, they're closed in) past the powder room, pantry and basement door into the kitchen, turn left into the dining room, straight past the stairs, and you're back in the LR. DS loves the big giant race track.
What kind of decor do you have? Mmm... kinda beachy I think. It wasn't intended, but it ended up that way. Dark cherry floors, navy blue couches and curtains (white sheers), white end tables and coffee table, yellow walls, white trim. I have grayish/white pillows with embroidered flowers on the couches, there's a few black and white photographs that I took of some random people wakeboarding and surfing on Picnic Beach in Laguna, CA (where we got married) and that's it.
Are your walls painted? See above. They iz yeller.

The living room is a barren wasteland of nothingness, though we did paint the walls sage green. I plan to go out furniture shopping when the Memorial Day sales start up. I'm going for the natural-materials Pottery Barn look in there with accents of coral.
Below is the family room (I picked up yesterday, but BF came home and left some crap lying around...notice the random microphone). The curtains came in the mail, we just need to put them up. They're sea blue. Eventually the walls will be painted a shade or two darker and the mess of electronics on the left of the fireplace will be contained in a cabinet. We're getting there, slowly but surely.
Oh, I almost forgot the most important part of the decor: my lazy wh0re of a dog.
This is from the dining room looking into the living room.
And this one is from the front door looking in.
This is my favorite.
Thank you! I do too and get lots and lots of compliments on it. Got it at Crate and Barrel and they still have it:
