Need a makeup rec for really oily skin

My current stuff is just not cutting it anymore... my skin is very oily (especially since coming off the pill) and I need a makeup with decent but not too heavy coverage that will REALLY stop the shine.  I had been using Physician's Formula mineral makeup, which is really nice, but I get greasy very quickly with it.

Re: Need a makeup rec for really oily skin

  • How much do you want to spend?

I would invest in the Murad mattefying SPF 15 lotion...I use it as a moisturizer/primer and it helps with oil. That may help more than changing the makeup, especially if you like it otherwise. The Murad stuff is magic!

Other make up I like is:

    Bare Minerals matte foundation

I like the BM "Ready" mineral veil in the compact for touchups mid day (if needed) & to set my makeup

Cover FX mineral foundation in the compact

Aveda mineral foundation, but this is heavier coverage

  • I have a good friend with similar skin to yours who is obsessed with Bare Minerals.  She won't leave the house without it and it never looks heavy on her.
  • I know this isn't what you asked for but for me the trick to not having oily skin was a good moisturizer. I use the Neutroena moisturizer for combination skin and I do not get oily at all now. Before I started using that I was constantly shiny. HTH
