Stair Runner

Where do you get stair runners?  We are moving and the new place has hardwood stairs and my Dal slips on the hardwoods going down.  I've found a few places online but do any stores carry them? TIA

Re: Stair Runner

  • If you're looking for a basic berber or regular room carpet for your stairs, you can goto any carpet store and have them give you a quote for cutting it to width and installing it.  We got ours installed for under $200.  Anything with a pattern that's designed to be a runner may be a little more $$.

  • We had it professionally installed by the carpet company. My mom DIY - I think they just carpet they needed and did the labor themselves. But between mine and theirs ... mine is better - it looks nicer and they didn't put down a thick enough carpet pad IMO - so ours feels nicer too.
