Update to the F*d up situation post
H has been trying to get ahold of dood for a few days now. Finally!
They've met with the sheriff a few times in the past week. The case is officially closed. No further investigations or arrests will take place... unless the guy tries to snatch the kid for a third time that is. F?ckers.
Geek... it's a newer blue VW beetle with a spoiler on the back.
H has more to tell me, but he can't talk on the phone at work and apparently it's too much to type out in an IM. So perhaps I'll have another update tonight or tomorrow.

This makes me insanely angry. How the hell are we supposed to protect our kids if they just keep letting idiots like these loose? He literally tries to snatch a child TWICE and...nothing? They just let him go?
Malibu is very angry. Way too many situations where someone has to get hurt before anything happens to the perpetrator.

I have a feeling that they'll be listing their house. I could be wrong, but it's a feeling that I have. Which sucks. They love that house, it's close to the dad's family and they sank a crap-ton of money into it over the past few years. I can see the conversation now...

I thought they did, but I must have misunderstood since I haven't heard/read/seen anything yet. Purely speculation, but I'm guessing that they wouldn't alert the media while the investigation was open... in case anything would get compromised.
The town they live in is usually painted as an idyllic, family friendly town in the local news... scandal would rock their world.

And yes, you're right, that town has its "image" to uphold. I checked the town I live in and there are only 3 or 4 (thankfully). I'd prefer not to have any, but that's how it goes, I suppose.
I definitely second Kuus on outing this guy. It's terrible that the police are doing absolutely nothing. I hope their fail protection gets thrown into the public eye before this pedophile succeeds in hurting another child.
