guys, the oral surgeon saved the root of my tooth to show me.
apparently one of my roots was ENORMOUS and my nerve was wrapped around it, which explains part of why everything was so awful for awhile there.
he was super impressed by it. he used the word "enormous" a thousand times.
it was in a little baggie. he asked if wanted to keep it, and i said no.
kiss it, nest.

I am so happy there is no pip in here.

Wow. That is really gross.
it looked like a bloody mountain lion claw.
i didn't save it because i'm not one to carry around unused body parts. but i'm sort of regretting it now.
i am subsisting just fine on advil, though i can't open my mouth as far as i normally can (that's what she said). and i'm feeling much better now that i have an official professional opinion that i'm healing okay.
I am disappointed.
I'd have kept that sucker, and posted countless pics, and then I would have turned it into a necklace.
So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.
I was really hoping for a PIP when i opened this thread too! I love stuff like that. Now I"m going to have to go google it.
ETA- omg omg omg!! I take it all back, I was not expecting that nastiness!!!

I did not save my uterus, complete with a gi-normous cyst growing on my cervix, that was the highlight of the OB/GYN's office, since none of the nurses had seen/heard of one like it - it felt like a damn peep show at one visit.
This. Or an earring.
I hope this means you're feeling better!
My surgeon sent my wisdom teeth home w/ me, and I was completely repulsed by them. But for some reason, I felt I was supposed to keep them. Thank goodness my mom reassured me that I could throw them out.
No judgment here for tossing them!
Enjoy your first cyst/boil slice. Don't breathe in.
Yeah that's right my name's Yauch!
Tease!
lol
I would have LOVED to see that....
you'll feel much better now that it'e gone
