i don't think i would be thinking about which of my organs would be donated if i was committing suicide.
broccoli made a good point. It just may be he took it in the chest for that very reason.

I also think it's an excellent point. There are a lot of studies that are showing that repeated trauma to the head are negatively impacting these athletes long term. I would not be in the least bit surprised if this is why he chose this method.
Regardless, it's very sad. It certainly seems as though that his driving off a cliff a few years ago was in reality a failed suicide attempt, rather than him falling asleep at the wheel as he said at the time.
