Everything is falling apart.

First I she-hulk a cabinet door off of the hinge, then the bathtub faucet continued to leak no matter how much I twisted the knobs and now the dishwasher is making scary noises and h is in the kitchen insulting it's mother. Sometimes I don't think homeownership is all that.

There is something about a new baby that makes everything in a home break. I swear something broke every month of her first year.

Ugh. You win. We are just outside the flash flood warning here. :(

I'm so glad H is freaking handy as hell. He cranked the faucet, declared the motor in the dishwasher motor dead and for the price we might as well replace it.

  • Are you sure we're not sharing the same house?

The one we live in has been falling apart for years... Literally since before it was paid for and before it was given to me. I've tried countless times to come up with ways to better the house, and it never fails one thing or another wants to crap out. So I'm pretty much over the house and the area it's in. Sometimes it's best to do the best we can, save up and move the hell on asap!

We're counting on saving, moving and or something along those lines asap (preferably before this time next year). We shall see how that goes though.

LOL. I know, but that definitely sucks way more. I'd rather have to deal with this random crap than worry about my house flooding. My house in WI is built in a marsh so I spent many a night willing my basement walls to stay put and not leak. I really hope there is no damage.

Nooooo! It's for very soft things, you know, some leftovers from your plate? etc. My FIIL and H use the garbage disposal so inappropriately. When I met H his was broken, within 4 mos of dating, mine was broken. He put flower stems in mine, W.T.F.  We went to visit his parents and his dad put a f'ing chicken bone in there. My MIL has a very close relationship with her plumber...

  • There are days I think renting would definitely be better.  We need new sinks in the bathroom, DD's friend broke 1 cabinet door and the front fell off a drawer.  Our toilet runs and we can't figure out why, the faucet in DD's bathroom has a slight leak.  Oh and we need a new roof.

Tongue Tied My H would flip the f out if he caught me putting crap like that in the disposal. He would rather not have one at all. He is a drain cleaner and garbage disposals are 75% of the problem with kitchen sinks. Don't ever put grease down the drain either. I almost lost my head doing that when we first starting dating. And Draino is the devil.

  • Shittttt. I wish my house would flood and get swept away. I could use the insurance money to pay off the damn loan and never have to look at it again.

I've owned this house 2 and a half years, and I've had the HVAC guy out 3 times (once was to install a new furnace), the plumber guy only once, thank God, the glass (window) guy is coming today, and am so sick of cleaning up the landscaping I want to torch it all. And that's just the big stuff!

I've spent about $1500 on getting trees/bushes removed, given about $2500 to the HVAC guy, $150 to the plumber guy, it'll be $400 for the window guy. And here I was excited that I bought the most up-to-date and "finished" house that I could find in my price range!

If I didn't care to royallyfuckup my credit, I'd walk in a heartbeat and move into a studio.
