Whine of the Day

Had to get up at 4am today to drive DH to airport and there wasn't really any point trying to get more sleep before heading to work. I have my running group tonight too...at which point I will have been awake for 15 hours!

Going to be a LOOOOOOONG day :(

What's your whine of the day?

Re: Whine of the Day

  • That will be a long day, but at least it's just one day.

I woke up with sore hands.  Of all the random body parts to be sore, why the hands?  To make it better, our transcriptionist lady called in sick so I'm spending a good chunk of my morning typing stuff.  Oh well, it could be worse.

Eeek! Can you think of anything you did that would have made your hands hurt?

  • Nah, I just think it's one of those random things that happen occasionally while you're growing a human.

Joints loosening and bones spreading out...it's not just happening in the hips! I'd think that any body part could be randomly sore as things are shifting.

Um, YOUR opinion doesn't matter here, BBE!

Alexis, I hope that baby doesn't pop out of your fingertips, but if it does I guess they'll be more ready for it.

  • Hey, uh, Wifey, are you a SN change?

    This is my siggy.
  • I'm pretty sure my IUD is making me a raving hosebeast and giving me headaches from hell. I'm feeling particularly shanky the last few weeks for no reason whatsoever.

Yes, I know, feeling shanky is part of my charming personality, but usually I have a reason. Lately, just the sound of certain things makes me want to crawl out of my skin and stab it repeatedly until either the sounds stop or I'm less annoyed.

And yet, despite all this, there is no way I'm considering having this thing removed. I think I'd have to break out in hives first.

Crap I always forget that the plastic baby in my ute doesn't give me enough points to be allowed to talk!

Haha, I appreciate the concern for my poor poor fingers, Fuss!

And BBE, you've been around long enough to know that if you don't have kids then you don't have an opinion.  Duh!  (But seriously, I'm sure that's what it is and since it's only happened a few times I'm cool with that.)

I had kind of a gradual snowballing effect from mine. Moody, cranky, etc. Plus bad skin. I could have chosen to live with it, but it was an imperfect relationship to be sure.

Maybe it already failed and you're pregnant again!!!  (I kid, I kid, don't hurt me!)

But that really sucks.  Any way you'd be willing to try a different one?  Or haven't you had it long enough to give it a fair shot?

  • I've only had it for six weeks.

The thing is, I'm not biitchy all the time. If I was, it would have to go. If it gets worse, it might have to go lol. But for now, I'm willing to deal with it. I just need high levels of ibuprofen and my kids to stop talking about inane shiit in the car while I'm driving.

NO ONE CARES ABOUT YOUR STUPID TEACHER, PINKY!

Speaking of pinky's stupid teacher, pinky keeps begging me to send peppermind gum to school for the next two weeks. The dumbass in charge of my baby's education has told her that it will help her concentrate.

I'm sorry, what? Gum helps kids concentrate? Since fuuking when?

I hate this hooker for realz. Where's a llama and a bag of oranges when you need one?

  • It took a good 2 mos for my IUD side effects to subside.  Although, my mood wasn't affected, but I had the cramps and bad skin.

  • Lol,, HS. One more month and she's gone, gone gone.

Is Pinky really calling it "peppermind" gum or was that a typo?

I agree with everything that muddled said. You should listen to her. -ESDReturns
  • Sorry, peppermint

Do you know what 8 year olds do with gum? I'll give you a hint. It ain't concentrate.

  • That's disappointing. I thought peppermind was some kind of special flavor of gum that would make you smarter. I was going to go look for it in the store.

It's only the 3rd of May and already it has been in the 90s for two days here and will be through the weekend. WHERE IS THE SPRING. Sometimes, I hate the south.

Sooo jealous.  It's raining here AGAIN.  It's rained every day this month. (I know there's only been 3.  Shaddup.)

  • My whine is that I'm out of ideas for dinner that everyone will be happy eating.  I feel like I make the same things every week.  I'm in a rut.

Although, I did make a new recipe last night and it was really tasty and my FI liked it even though it had bell peppers in it (he says he doesn't like them, but ate every last one that was on his plate).  I used a cut of meat that wasn't familiar to me and it was a little tough.  I couldn't find the one specified in the recipe, so I'm on the search for something that will work better.

I know, I guess the winter was technically spring this year.

    my whine today..

.just  came from getting a referral to another neurologist.

I'm back to having headaches frequently.  Part of it is weaning Buffy, part of it is just life.

They haven't moved from 'mild' into 'full fledged migraine' daily yet, but, still, I'm having the nausea and food aversion at least a few times a week and pain to some degree at least 4 days a week (with it going into 'bad' at least every other week)

  • I've gotten up at 4 or 4:30 every day now for three weeks to go to the gym before work, pick up kid at daycare, come home, cook, clean up, and get one more workout in before going to bed at 10:30 or 11. I seriously sometimes wonder how I'm still standing. It gets harder towards the end of the week.

I don't really have any whines. I'm having a pretty good day. I was irrationally and probably concerningly (is that a word) excited about my lunch today. I made these divine Chili Lime Chicken burgers last night and they were so good I could hardly wait until noon to eat the leftovers. It's a little sad how something so dumb can make me so happy! LOL

    Oh, FFS.

Me too.  I moved to NC in 2008, and I still am not used to the weather here.  I cannot wait to move back home to WA state/OR.

*listens to it pour rain as I type* I'm jealous as well. It's been raining almost every day since at least the beginning of March. I hate rain. *shakes fist at H for living here in the first place*

My whine every day is that it's still raining! I freaking hate the rain!

I miss the sun and warm weather. They won't come until July at the earliest in these here parts. Seattle is pretty terrible at warm & sun.
