YEAH baby! I did 3 miles this morning and didn't croak.
Actually got down to my usual pace, and I was taking it easy (downhill, but still...). 
Woo hooo!! Race day ROCKS. And YES I will be this excited in person. Have no fear. DH will be glad to have you take me off his hands at the bus garage!
