I saw your follow up to my post on your weight loss post from the other day.
My BMR is 1640 but to maintain my weight with my activity level is 2542 calories. Obviously, I dont want to maintain, so I dont want to eat 2542 calories a day.
If you want to lose 1 lbs a week, subtract 500 calories a day (so for me 2042). If you want to lose 2 lbs a week, subtract 1000 calories a day BUT neve go under your BMR. So if i subtracted 1000 calories, that would leave me with 1542, which is less than my BMR. So if i am super serious about it, i try to eat around 50 calories a day more than my BMR. So around 1700 calories a day.
