Anyone doing Weight Watchers? Or have done it in the past?
I'm trying to drop about 15 lbs. And I'm seriously struggling. I did the WW points plus for a while last year, but it wasn't really working for me. But, I wasn't really being honest with myself either, so obviously totally my fault.
This time around, I am committed. I don't want to look like a stuffed sausage in my wedding dress, so I have to do something.
Anyone been successful with their new PP+ program?
Always be yourself. Unless you suck.
Re: Anyone doing Weight Watchers? Or have done it in the past?
It's a great program, IMO. And if you need poking, go to meetings. There's nothing like getting on the scale at the meeting.
Yeah that's right my name's Yauch!
I started it 6 weeks after I had dd and lost 61.8 lbs (started in Sept on the old plan, then moved over to Points Plus when that started in December).
I will be doing it again 6 weeks post partum after this kid comes out as well to get down to my goal weight.
My mom lost 87 lbs on it and just became a lifetimer.
I'll probably do online vs. meetings. My girlfriend is on board with me too so we can motivate each other.
I tried MyFitnessPal but the daily calories they gave me (1,200) were just too low for me and I would never be able to sustain that. I don't have a lot to lose, thankfully, but it's so much harder to lose anything at all when you don't have that much in the first place.
I'm just entirely frustrated with my body. Argh.
I think MyFitnessPal and the like can be helpful but I don't think I would have been successful if I tried that first. I literally had to learn how to eat/the "value" of some foods over others and WW teachers you that. Does that make sense?
As far as your fitness regimen goes, make sure you take the time and be patient with yourself while you find that you actually like. Not everyone loves the gym or running or yoga.
