Banner day for VA... won a case AND as a double bonus settled a second!  So pumped about settlement... hearing was schedule for the day after our return from travel (after 3 back-to-back weeks of house guests (different guests))!  Woo Hoo!!!! My life is sooo much better.   Of course I should be draft the dang thing now, but house guest #1 is showing up tomorrow, so I'm nesting and quasi-cleaning instead.  And you wonder why the 'win' posts are so infrequent !

Anyway, who else has good weekend news?  Or just good news in general?

I've been going through a rough time with a particular aspect of my life, & the people who I wasn't sure would be there for me, are there front & centre with support!

I don't really have anything else going on but cheers to good friends!

I applied to some part-time nanny jobs for the summer. Time to get some work. Previously, I have been having anxiety about working too far from home. (Don't want to ride the EL at night). So after seeing so many families just walking around our neighborhood I went online and started looking. Crossing my fingers that I get some replies back.

we are having the downstairs of our house painted this weekend - I cannot WAIT!!! All of the walls are light pink, I can't wait to no longer feel like I'm living in a little girl's bedroom lol! Then carpet goes in next Tuesday. OMG I'm soooooooo excited

We leave for a 12 day holiday in Italy tomorrow morning (Tuscany and Rome).  Work has been so busy recently, and I can't wait to just get away.  Even better, I lost my work blackberry and it hasn't been replaced yet, so I really will be disconnected!

You picked a great time.  The weather is nothing less than glorious!  We're heading up to Montepulciano and Florence this afternoon!  H is going on to Rome, which I could too .  Anyway, enjoy your trip!!

My husband had the week off and so we did little D&R things around the house, watched a lot of TV, did some blogging and are trying to put together a last minute Cinco de Mayo gathering. No particularly good news but generally an overall relaxing week. We'll have a very close friend come over for the weekend who hasn't seen our new habitat yet which will fun. Still need to paint one of the walls in the guest room though but I gave myself permission to have it like that just because all those I SHOULD have it this way just make no sense. This friend won't think anything less of us if one wall is not painted yet! We'll have a good time no matter what color the wall is. Next time he'll come stay the room will be ready (they don't have the kind of paint I wanted right now at my favorite paint store). Last weekend we had friends over too and it was so much fun. Almost all of our weekends in May will be filled with visitors.

It's Friday already now, but oh well. I think I've finally stopped spotting after the m/c, which is good news because I just want it to be over. I'm still getting positive HPTs, though, so I'm not back to "normal" yet.

Ugh!  I'm glad things are progressing; but am very sorry.  The loss is so upsetting, but the daily reminders were really hard.  Hated the prolonged physical bs.  Healthy thoughts your way.
