Anyone have Tieks by Gavrielli?

They look awesome and comfortable, but I would like to hear some reviews before I purchase. I have a 20% off promo code and free shipping.  (you can get one too if you "like" their page on FB.)

Does anyone have a pair? Worth it?

Re: Anyone have Tieks by Gavrielli?

  • I have 2 pairs, and am waiting for my third pair to come back in stock.

I love them, very comfortable. Much more so than my Tory Burch Revas or Eddies. Expensive, but worth it in my opinion.

  • I bought the obsidian black in the fall.  Iabsolutely love them.  I did need to break them in for a day or two (I have wide feet and their suggestion of wearing them around the house with socks helped) but once I did, they are supremely comfortable and fit like a glove.  I can wear them all day and even walk long distances without any discomfort.  I was concerned they wouldn't be sturdy enough with the split sole, but the rubber sole seems substantial and has held up well.  I first bought the regular black leather in my regular size but found them to be too small - my toes were poking out.  Their customer service is incredible - they shipped me another pair in the next size, for free, without even charging my card, so I could compare sizes.  Plus, they were out of the regular leather, so they sent me the patent version without an up charge, even though they sell for $50 more.  Both leathers are high quality.  The regular leather is extremely soft but very matte; the patent leather is less soft, but not stiff, and has more pizazz.  The only downside is they are pricey. Hope that helps!
  • Hi there!  I have a few pairs now, and I cannot express how wonderful they are compared to other flats.  I have a hard time with flats, shoes in general (size 11, sometimes wide, sometimes 12).  I can wear these all day and my feet or legs don't get tired.  I do have trouble wearing them for several days in a row, but for most shoes I get these little gel arch support inserts at Target/Walmart/grocery store, and they really help. I got my flats in a size 12 because I was afraid they wouldn't stretch enough if I got the 11, and the 12 are perfect.  I would say that if your foot is even slightly longer or wider than a standard size, you might want to try the next one up.  There's free return shipping so there's no worry about having to exchange.

I would say that the plain, matte finishes are the most comfortable.  As another reviewer mentioned, the shiny black (obsidian) are just a bit more stiff.  I have those too and do notice that the elastic is not quite as stretchy because of the way the leather is treated, although the foot part itself feels fine.  A friend of mine also has a couple of pairs, and she had some snugness issues with the metallic pewter ones compared to the matte ones.

Yes, they are expensive, but think of them as you would an investment purse.  Or, think of how many different pairs of flats you go through that aren't comfortable or don't last very long, and together the price of those was probably more than one pair of these.
