Yeah it's ok but I had planned on getting in 4 hours of work so I wouldn't miss a whole day of pay - I don't get any time paid off. But I am just going to bite the bullet and go ahead with it. Oh well. I get nervous about medical stuff, even if it's a small matter like this.
I was really nervous before my colonoscopy too. The prep wasn't fun (get some straws, a drink to chase with, wet wipes, and vaseline for your bum), but the procedure was a breeze.
Why are they running the tests? Have you been sick? I haven't been around the last month so I probably missed your posts.
My colonoscopy is June 1. Tomorrow is my throat/stomach scope. I was admitted to the hospital for a day in early March because of dangerously low iron levels - severely anemic - and had to have two blood transfusions. The iron level has been decreasing at a slow pace (could have been years - since I haven't gotten blood work in years and getting one prompted all of this). I am bleeding out somewhere and they don't know where. So that's why they are having me do these procedures.
I had a throat scope/dialation 2 years ago because I have a hiatal hernia and severe acid reflux so maybe I'm bleeding out somewhere around there - I don't know. Sorry I hate not knowing what's going on. I have anxiety quite a bit (as you can tell). LOL.
I remember the incident in March now. My memory isn't the greatest -- sorry. That's scary.
I really hope you get some answers soon and it's nothing serious. Not know what's wrong and waiting for answers is a terrible feeling. Good luck tomorrow!
