Back from court

So I went to court and XH wasn't there (which I expected).  He was under the impression that I could just tell the court he didn't want to change anything.  Wrong again.

Because I disagreed with his motion and XH wasn't appearing before the court they had to set another date for pre-trial.  I always get nervous to talk but I asked the judge what XH had to do if he wanted to keep the current support as is.  The judge said he simply needed to call DCSS, but they wanted to keep the court date in case he really didn't agree.  I understood they couldn't take my word for it.

So basically going to court was a waste of my time.  I called XH and told him that he needed to call DCSS and get this thing taken care of. And I wasn't very nice about it.  He called them, then called me back and informed me it was taken care of, and was all huffy about it.  I said "great" and then got off the phone.  This entire thing was HIS original request, mind you.

XH makes me tired. Real tired.

Re: Back from court

  • I think we may have been married to the same man.

Hang in there, I hope it really is taken care of.

  • Sounds extremely frustrating and I'm sorry you are still having to go through all this crap.

  • Ugh, I am sorry you had to go to court!

Is there anyway you can call the office just to verify that he actually did take care of it?  I am not sure how that works...

I have to email them anyways (they still have me listed with my married last name) so I can ask them to confirm that he did call.
