Looking for a 4 paned sliding glass door, that 3 slide into 1.
Does this exist?
I feel like it should but I can't seem to find it. It's something where 3 panes slide all the way to the right (or left) to fit over the fourth pane.
Does that make sense?

Me with my littlest.
Re: Looking for a 4 paned sliding glass door, that 3 slide into 1.
That would have to be custom and very expensive. You'd also have to have a minimum of 2x6 walls to accommodate 3 tracks.
Why does it have to be 3 to 1? Can you just put two regular sliding glass doors next to each other so it would be 2 fixed and 2 operable. What about one oversized patio door (think x1.5 the size of a regular door) and some window panes on either side?
I don't want something custom. Just too much money.
We bought an older home and it currently has 4 panes, the 2 center open. But there are steps that are in front of the first 3 panes, so I'd like to be able to open the door to utilize all of the step to the patio. It just seems strange to be able to see your steps but not access them.
I need more options.

Not if you did a nana wall type system. They are extremely popular in the UK and someday after a lottery win I will have one. So much better than a sliding door. That said I have a three panel, sliding glass door that is 12' wide so each pane is 4'. Not sure haw large the opening you're trying to access is, but my door wasn't custom. Made by sunrise (I think) ot it's soft-lite. The windows are one and the door the other - I can never remember which is which.

Haha yes I was going to mention those but (a) they should never be used in cold climate like Maryland and (b) they still cost a fortune. We were using them on a commercial building project of mine out in San Diego (not that exact manufacturer but a very similar product) and the cost was very steep. Like $10,000 a set expensive and we had 6 of them in a row.
So yeah try some containers...
Lol.
My friend just had this system put in, two to be exact, one on either side of a room. She is in PA so the weather is similar to yours.
I can not remember if she has 3 moving panes or 4 I will ask her.
The panes are large floor to ceiling-- glass framed by HW .
She LOVES them and I agree with her they are wonderful. I will try to catch her this weekend.
