Talk to me about NYX eye shadows or a better alternative

I went into Ulta yesterday and saw a really pretty eye shadow trio and I'm contemplating going back to pick up some of them.  The colors looked good and pretty pigmented but I don't want to buy them and find that they aren't so great. 

So what are your thoughts on their shadows?

Any colors you love?

I'm a former MAC addict and we are trying to save for Europe so ALL of my spending is being cut down significantly so I'm looking for cheaper alternatives.

I got a few of their products on Rue la la and I love the eye shadows! The name of the palette escapes me, but it's nuetral/sandy 5 pc. Great, not too sparkly but shimmers & a blendable formula.

I was reading that some of the colors in the palettes aren't as pigmented.  Do you find that you have to build them to get a significant amount of color?

 I really liked them and for the price I'm thinking...why not? lol

ToBe THAT'S exactly the one I was checking out! I'm fair skin (not too fair though) and I ready on MUA that it's pretty sheer looking...I really want it though!

I'll use it in a little bit and come back, but I liked it the last time I used it.

This is it, the Carribean Collection. Yes, I would say it's on the side of "more sheer" and very natural compared to say, IDK, Too Faced Naked Eye (which I also have and use about 50% of)? This is much more neutral and sheer no big sparkles.

I don't have any experience w/ their shadows but I have their eyeliners (they also get great reviews on MUA and people compare them to the Urban Decay ones). I like them just as much, if not more, than my usual Bobbi Brown pencil eyeliners.

I love their shadows.  Some colors can seem a little powdery (you have to tap on the brush to get excess off) but the colors are pretty pigmented and have great staying power. 

I have all neutral colored shadows, can't think of the names offhand.

I just used it and it's ok.. The colors are pretty sheer and I don't know that I would use it over something else I have.  I don't hate it, but don't love it.  I have heard good things though so a different palette would probably be better. I can PM you a picture if you want.

I have a few palettes that I picked up for fun. I find the colors to be pretty sheer unless I'm wearing primer.
