You know the weird attacks my kids was having last month?

She hasn't had one in over a week!

Yay!

  • NO!!  What's going on?

It was strange. Every few days we'd get this pattern: soft green poop, soft yellow poop, water only diarrhea, lethargy (my kid who fights naps was lying down in the middle of the floor and falling asleep), increased irritability, wheezing, full on inconsolable crying with fever for an hour or two. Then over.  Stretched out over a 24 hour period.
  • Good.  What did the doctor say - were you able to get her in during an episode?

They ran tests and she's having me journal symptoms.  No answers yet.  I cut back on dairy this week because of ML advice so that might be it.

Wow, I hadn't seen that before sonrisa.  I'm glad she hasn't had an episode recently.  I hope it's just a simple matter of a dairy allergy.  But how frightening.  :(

  • Good luck figuring it out, you were so freaked out, I remember the post well.

    scary stuff, these kids

  • The poo and wheezing makes me highly suspect dairy (just based on the shitton of things I've read about dairy allergies b/c of C and N)

I am SO glad she's doing better!!

I really was.  And so was anyone else who saw an episode (my mom, my husband).

This is great news, so the initial tests that were looking iffy turned out to be ok?  I thought I saw a quick post saying you were freaking out about the first ones that came back.

or I could be totally wrong, either way I hope it is just an allergy issue!

The first ones that came back were not great but also very ambiguous (either allergy or autoimmune). DH talked me down once he got home. (Google was not my friend). Doctor is waiting before running a more thorough work up.
