a ? for people who eat hushpuppies
do you put corn in your hushpuppies? have you ever eaten a hushpuppy w/ corn in it-restaurant or at someone else's house?
h and i are about to come to blows over this via e-mail.
Re: a ? for people who eat hushpuppies
What are hushpuppes?
I thought they were shoes.
No corn in my hushpuppies or my corn muffins.
/gavel.
No corn in hush puppies. They are like fried corn bread. Corn is in fritters.
If your not doing homemade then Martha white hush puppie mix is the best, I add onion to mine.
No corn in hush puppies.
We used to eat a ?Po Folks, and I?d always get their hush puppies. They were delicious.
i know! h grew up w/ corn in them. i did not. we have this argument twice a year when we do a fish fry. last time he got to put corn in them, so this time it's my preference. he is still trying to convince me that w/ corn is better/the right way. no.
Corn fritters to me are flatish like a latka or pancake.
Corn nuggets are the deep fried corn goodness.
Yes this is the truth
I fixed that for you.
Love,

OMG, did someone really fvking ask what a hushpuppy was?
Jesus.
Yes, I've eaten hushpuppies w/ corn in them, but generally I prefer them without corn. But really it doesn't matter because hushpuppies are seriously the food of the Gods and I'm obsessed w/ them. I eat them with catsup, too.
Lurker here, but I had to come out for this one. Both ways are good but I personally consider with corn to be much better. Also, please, please, don't ruin a hushpuppy with ketchup!!!!
Seriously, try dipping them in nacho cheese. It's very common in catfish/seafood restaraunts around here and IT IS AWESOME!!!!!!
