We have drawings due by COB, and I've been trying to print them since 10am. They're all in different files, so I have to open the separately, and they all take 29348 minutes to load. And CAD has crashed 2x. Eeeeffffffff.

Re: i hate today
Don't you wish CAD could print them all at the same time? That sucks :-(. How large are the files?

I would have went crazy by now if I was you :-(. Sending good vibes your way.
I have a boss who makes everything the same layer or he puts it on defpoint and we don't know till we print it out. I thought that was bad!
Ah, that would be bad! Is he old? I had a boss before who couldn't even use CAD. He would just red line things and then have other people do it for him.

He's in his 50's and when I got here they called him the "guru."
I have 4 co-workers who redline like that because they can't use CAD! It's like we're doing work twice.
Alzi - Gotta love CAD speak, lol :-).
That's crazy! One of the guys in our lab planning department was saying that he wished we would go back to doing hand drawings. I was like OH HELL NO! I had enough of that in college.
I actually like using revit more than cad because you can print a whole drawing set at once.

I know right?! What field are you in? I'm in Architecture.
I was telling my co-worker that Revit could do that today. I think in CAD you can put the drawings in sheetset manager and publish it to get them to print all at once but I have no idea how to do that.
Which program does your firm use more Revit or CAD? We do the big ones in Revit and the mini projects in CAD. Right now, I'm having a problem with my bosses wanting something in Revit after I drew everything in CAD. I loooove Revit but I wish they would know that you can't just snap your fingers and a 3D model will appear in an hour.
I'm a lighting designer. I work at an a/e firm.
We are supposed to be switching over to Revit, but a lot of our projects are still in CAD. I like revit, but once again, the older employees are very against it. I think it makes life way easier. I mean, the schedules generate and update by themselves!
I wish revit did more accurate light renderings (we're supposed to be getting elum, but we don't have it yet). The problem is the files just get waaaayyyy too big if it's more than 20 or so lights, and it crashes, so we're still using AGI.
