Does anyone REALLY like Pepsi better than Coke?

There is nothing worse than going to a restaurant and asking for coke/diet coke and the waitress says, "Is Pepsi ok?" UG

Re: Does anyone REALLY like Pepsi better than Coke?

  • When I was pregnant, I liked Pepsi better... well during the first tri anyway.

  • I like regular pepsi, but diet coke/coke zero.
    Shot first, questions later.
  • Yes, of course! Regular pepsi is VASTLY superior to regular coke. And it doesn't get as flat as fast.

  • sometimes yes, it depends on the day really. I refuse to drink any "diet" colas, because, just blerg.

  • My FIL.  He needs diet pepsi to mix with his amber rum.

    blech.

I mean, I'll drink it.  But I'd much prefer dark rum and coke.

  • My mom used to drink a TON of caffeine free diet Pepsi (why bother lol?)

These days she is more into red wine.

  • I like pepsi/diet pepsi better than coke/diet coke. I hate diet coke from a can or bottle.
  • That's funny. Most places around here seem to have Coke.

    Which sucks.

    Pepsi FTW.

  • DIet Pepsi is VASTLY better than Diet Coke.

I'll drink the DC if nothing else is available, but I do so grudgingly.

It takes like medicine. Diet coke is so crisp.

  • I love coke, and I really, really dislike pepsi. Especially out of a can, yuck.

  • I only buy Pepsi products. I like them better than Coke products. And diet coke is so gross. It leaves a bitter taste in my mouth that Diet Pepsi doesn't.

  • All diet soda tastes like cancer in a can...like chemicals or something.

Diet Dr. Pepper is the best, for the record.  Diet Pepsi tastes better than Diet Coke.  Coke always seems to have a funky aftertaste.

Sorry JM, I had to.  :)

Also, Diet Coke.  Forever and always.

  • I vastly prefer Pepsi.

In fact, I won't even drink Coke.

Pepsi Throwback is the best, though.

  • I'm side-eyeing a number of you.  Pepsi? DIET Pepsi?  For serious?  Ick!

Diet Pepsi tastes like flat, lemon flavored diet cola.  YUCK

    lol

Definitely diet Pepsi over diet Coke. But Coke Zero is my preference.

Ohh, and the new Pepsi Next stuff is good. It is half the sugar (or something like that?) and 60 calories a can, I think. Which is fine, cause I can't usually finish a whole can so the calories are really negligible to me. I don't remember the last time I drank a regular soda, but this at least tastes a little naughtier than the diet stuff.

Edited- because, I will usually chose fountain anything. Pepsi, coke, whatever- this is when my preference goes out the door cause beggars can't be choosers :-p

  • Also, fountain cola I prefer pepsi thanks to years of Pepsi at Subway when I was employed there in HS.

When I'm PMSing all I can do to take the edge off is have a cold can of coke.

Canned pepsi is not the same.

Yes there is. When you ask for coke and they bring you pepsi.

Although, I love, love, love fountain pepsi with lots of ice. In a bottle though, no effin way

DH always asks me if I am French Canadian if I buy Pepsi.  He fully supports your generalization, but I have never heard anyone else say that.  He had a cottage on the Ontario/Quebec border growing up, and says all people drank were Pepsi.

  • Pepsi is by far superior. I do not like Coke, to the point of choosing something else if they ask if Coke is okay. The taste is just so different that I can't understand how some people can't tell the difference.
