I lost the house

I'm completely crushed! My realtor called me while I was driving home from my OOTT. I had gotten approvals from both lenders that held the mortgage in default by the seller. I've been waiting a month for an approval letter that never came. My realtor said that neither bank could agree on a closing date and the house has been sitting since last January so they finally said eff it and sending it in to foreclosure. I'll know for sure on monday. She said that I will need a freaking miracle for any good news to come monday about this house.

I could still get it once it hit foreclosure but the banks have to draw up the paperwork, get a listing agent and place it back on the market under foreclosure so I'd have to fight whoever else is interested in placing an offer rather than getting it fair and square.

I've waited 9 EFFING MONTHS!!! They let me go on this long just to throw it all away.

    I'm sorry that stinks.

I don't understand banks.  Is it really worth letting go into foreclosure over a closing date?  I heard someone else talking about their house (the one they owned) was going into foreclosure because they were doing a short-sale, had several offers and the bank kept rejecting them.  It seems like something would be better then nothing.

Fingers crossed something works out for you.

  • Ugh, sorry Jaksmom. That is ridiculous to wait so long and not have it work out. I am really crossing my fingers that somehow it works out for you!

Thanks. The same seller's agent had another house where they wanted $110 but the bank rejected it an offer for $100, went in to foreclosure where they only ended up with $70.

Thank you. I have to look at my options after monday. I really don't want to go to an apt because I feel like I will be there for awhile and not be able to save enough to buy again. I'm also concerned because the nicer apts cost more than a mortgage payment and what is in my range just had a murder of a high schooler a week ago.

  • I'm so sorry to hear that, Jaksmom.  Sad  *hugs*
