Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Do any of you remember me mentioning my former co-worker?
The guy I've known for 25 years (widowed 2 years ago) who had bought a Mercedes convertible?
Well, I met up with him in Homer yesterday. Homer is about 40 minutes from Anchorage by air, and it's a 2-hour drive from Kenai (which is where he lives). I had told him I was flying there on business to attend an annual meeting of the local electric company. I told him if he wanted to give me a ride in his new car he should meet me there. So he did. He's a member of the electric co-op so we went to the meeting together. It got boring after the first 15 minutes, so we went to a nice restaurant, had dinner, then went back to the meeting for the last 15 minutes.
It was nice to talk to him and ride around with the top down. He invited me to see "Rock of Ages" when the show is in Anchorage on the 23rd, and I accepted. : )
