Bracing myself for the next 6 days

H is OOT, and I've got 6 days of just me and the girls.  Tomorrow we're going to the zoo, and Natalie has school M and W of next week.  So that still leaves me Sun, Tues, and Thurs.  I'm scurred.

On another note, I'm meeting a friend from college that I haven't seen in about 7 years at the zoo tomorrow.  I'm a little nervous.  Like, what if it is a HUGE flop, and we're just there, at the zoo, with our kids, all awkward.  :

  • I'm sure it will be fine, but if not at least you are at the zoo and can entertain your kids. Not like you are sitting at a restaurant and have to talk.

But I'm sure it will be fine! Worst case, just reminisce!  Always stuff to talk about!

  • My husband travels a lot, so I feel you. Just line up activities like you're a freaking camp counselor so they don't have time to drive you nuts. Ice cream, library, water balloons, finger painting outside, playing in the sprinklers, play-dough, one of those indoor play places, etc. (I have done all of these with my kids recently and I think they are similar in age to yours.) You can do it!
