I'm trying to make a grocery list, and I'm not much of a cook, and I have no clue what to put on my list. So, I'm just wondering; what are some things to make sure you always have in your cabinets and fridge?
Re: Help?
Ditto PPs, also I keep feta cheese on hand because it's so versatile (chili, salads, etc.). I would add canned green chilies, your preferred type of chicken/vegetable stock, eggs, frozen chopped spinach, multiple kinds of canned beans (I often cook dried beans but beside sodium canned beans are fast, easy, and healthy to add to a lot of recipes!), onions, garlic, and the jarred chopped garlic for weeknight cooking.
Just look at the recipes you cook most or would like to, and find the ingredients they have in common, and try to keep those in your pantry. Then you can build meal plans around what's in your pantry + what's on sale.
