Help?

I'm trying to make a grocery list, and I'm not much of a cook, and I have no clue what to put on my list. So, I'm just wondering; what are some things to make sure you always have in your cabinets and fridge?

Re: Help?

  • We always buy/have on hand: milk (skim, sometimes buttermilk), yogurt, cheese, butter, bread, peanut butter, cereal, pasta, one jar of pasta sauce (I tend to freeze homemade - but a jar can come in handy), canned soup, canned tuna/salmon, spices (wouldn't be without cinnamon, chili powder, cayenne, cumin, oregeno, paprika, but have a ton more), canned beans, canned tomatos, garlic, onions, potatos.

We buy meat in bulk and freeze in individual (or 1 pound) portions: fillet, ground beef, chicken breasts and thighs, pork chops, pork tenderloin, fish (salmon, talapia), shrimp.

We buy tons of fresh fruit and veggies, but generally have frozen spinach and mixed veggies in the freezer and frozen berries.  We buy apples and bananas every week.
