Good and quick cheese sauce (to place on top of chicken)?
We love RR's Pretzel-crusted chicken but don't like the cheese sauce in her recipe. Can you recommend an quick and good tasting cheese sauce we can make to place on top of this chicken?

I will be honest, I have had trouble finding a 'cheese sauce' that is not very similar or some similar variation of that one (the most basic one being that one without the mustard--- bechamel + cheese), aside from those using velveeta.
Sorry I"m not much help, just letting you know in case you don't get many replies- I was trying to find a cheese dipping sauce for some soft pretzels that was not that type of cheese sauce or something w/ velveeta/processed and couldn't find much.
As a side note, trader joe's 'pub cheese' actually melts really well & doesnt seem to be made of crap.
I've used jarred alfredo with some other cheese added before (velveeta, parm, etc)
or jarred alfredo and add some cream of mushroom
