DD's 2nd bday is book themed (she loves to read).
Her invites look like the due date cards in library books, each of the food items has a book theme (Green deviled eggs-Green Eggs and Ham, meatballs-Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, etc)
So, what colors would you go with? I'm planning on having the book that goes with the food next to it along with a flag banner made from book pages... but what about steamers, balloons, etc??
Re: Book Themed 2nd Bday
I'd do bright colors that go with the book banners. Blues, teals, greens, yellows. Pick a few of the colors that predominately show throughout the books and use a few of those mixed together.
What a great idea for a birthday party. I love it!
I think primary colors would look great. If you want to narrow it down to two colors, I think any bright would would. I might do red and aqua/bright blue (dr. suess) or orange, white and green (green eggs and ham)
Here are the main books we are using...
Hungry Catepillar
Green Eggs and Ham
Pigeon Finds a Hotdog
Little Pea
Eat Your Alphabet A to Z
Peter Rabbit
Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs
The Giving Tree
Chicks and Salsa
You should have all kids dress up as their fav character from a book and bring book to party. then have a small parade with dd leading the way holding the booksy through neighborhhod/yard.
i like primary color idea
