silly France Q- laundry detergent

How easy is it to find natural laundry soaps?  I am allergic to anything with phosphorous, colouring or scents and am wondering if a small bottle of detergent will need to go on my packing list.

  • I think you could find something that meets your needs. The girls living there might be a better help. But I know we had this discussion before but going the opposite way. Someone wanting to bring there soap with them to the US while on vacation because other ones irritate them.

  • There is a store in France called Carrefour.  It will have it.  Is has EVERYTHING.

We would drive from Amsterdam to Belgium just for Carrefour because they had things we couldn't find anywhere else :)

I agree. To me, Carrefour is what heaven must look like! You can buy everything - and in better/fresher/nicer quality (when applicable).

Re Laundry soap. I'm not in france, but highly allergic to detergents and soaps and stuff, and the 2 types in the world my body accepts are available in France as well (probably have different names than here, but one is named Neutral in NL and the other is basically just a castile soap. French Marseille soap has the same ingredients as castile and should be available as laundry detergent. (That was the stuff Mouseinlux was talking about a little while ago.)
