I just got off of work. Im a server. My last table sat for an hour, the only people in the restaurant. Then they stiffed me, because they forgot their comps and had to pay for their dinner. They have a reservation for tomorrow. I put my name next to their reservation so I can wait on them and ruin their dinner.

this is dumb. why waste your time and energy ruining their dinner (where you will again get no tip and possibly get complaints to management) when you could be putting your efforts into diners that will tip you. it's also petty and mean. getting stiffed happens sometimes, let it go.  

Yeah, that's weird. 

I can imagine WANTING to ruin their dinner, but not actually following through with it. 

Plus, if they don't tip, why not avoid it all together?

This is a dead thread but to reply. I agree it's absolutely petty. It also relieves stress. Iv done this job for a long time. it's giving the jerks the 'the business' that keeps things fun. I deal with unbelievable rudeness and craziness with a smile most of the time. Also, I would never foul their food or anything. I'm just going to mess with them. The manager already knows. I will just order them food that sounds like the food they ordered, decline their credit card etc.
