I am a newbie to posting on here but I wanted to say hi. I'm a Navy wife married to a Navy Corpsman for going on 5 years this September. We have bought a condo in Oceanside, CA and have lived here for almost 3 years. He sacrifices for me because he works in Long Beach and I have only been able to find a good job here in Oceanside. It is an hour 2 and from work and I love him for doing that for me.
N-e-ways hello everyone and hope the weekend has been well for you all.
Re: Hello
Hi!
What do you do ?
Pets?
I have 2 cats, a torti named Sasha and an all black kitty name Shadow. And I am a writer and a Preschool Teacher. Right now I am trying something new and being the Outdoors Environment Teacher which is quite interesting and fun. :-)
What about you?
I have a dog that I have visitation with and a cat.

I'm a lawyer.
Welcome!
A word of advice (meant with absolutely no snark): textspeak/abbreviating w/ numbers and letters is generally not well received here.
Also, as the mom of a 4 year old, I have a newfound respect for preschool teachers. I'm pretty sure no amount of money could convince me to lock myself in a room with 12-15 3,4 or 5 year olds for one hour, much less an entire morning. Or, perish the thought, the whole day.
Thanks for the advice DR&RN04. I'll remember that while I post in here. I am too used to texting on my phone that I don't realize when I do it else where. Sorry about that. :-)
And don't worry the teachers are locked in the rooms. There are several escape routes. hehe Just kidding about the escape routes. I actually really love my job and plus being the new teacher outside has its benefits. I get to tan! Plus the kids are actually a lot of fun. They have very active imaginations and it's always entertaining to hear their stories.
Very cute! I read the part where she ate $150? Wow...how did that happen? :-O
Well... I sadly haven't been writing for quite a while now.
But I am trying to start again. I write short stories to novels mostly horror, fantasy, mystery, young adult. And I hope to try my hand at writing children. I have also written poetry in the past but have long given up that venue
What about you?
Hi! Welcome.
I have a question for you, do parents typically give you end of the year gifts? If so, what's your favorite gift?
eta: I saw your reply. Thank you :-)
yes they do...I also answered on your board about it. But didn't put favorite gift. My favorite gifts are the hugs, cards, and sometimes the gift cards to Starbucks or Barnes and nobles. Use to get Border ones too but no more Borders lol
Yea that sounds like a website that would keep you on your toes for sure.
BUt at least it is fun right?
Do you write fiction on the side?
And yes 3 years now I have been a part of Nanowrimo. I LOVE doing that even though I have to work it around my job I have been able to be involved for 3 years and all 3 years have reached the max word count...this last one exceeded the word count and I am still working on it. My nickname is the same on here as it is on there if you ever want to add me.
