Desired Compensation?

Hello all!  I am new to this board but I was hoping to get some advice on how to answer a desired compensation question.

Background:  I filling out a job profile so that I can submit a resume with X company.  On this survey, it is asking for my desired compensation and I must enter a numeric value before moving forward and I honestly have no idea how to answer.  I don't want to undervalue myself but I don't want to price myself out of the position either.

Does anyone have any advice?

Re: Desired Compensation?

  • I'd research the position to get a realistic expectation of what the position should pay, and enter a number slightly higher than that.
