Got halfway through a wall when I realized a) the color faded again and b) I was going to be way short. Sent H to get new paint color matched and it was lighter than the other stuff so I have painted 5 walls. Only 2 1/2 walls are really painted. Other wall and a half is covered by my TV stand and computer desk so I am waiting until DS goes to bed to make H move stuff and help me.
Speaking of, it is really hard to paint a room when you are trying to keep a kid out of it and then referee the kid and the cat who just wants attention. At least the landscaping is done so H can referee the rest of the week, minus watering the grass seed. Our carpet goes in next Saturday so I have to work in touching up paint into my schedule that is already packed. So hiring someone when we move to paint lol.
Re: I am over painting.
Oh wow that would drive me batty too.
I told DH today that I'm going to hire someone to do our first floor ceiling. It needs reprinting but with the rooms connected it's just too much for us and our sanity.

I have ceilings to touch up to. Which, since we have popcorn ceilings isn't bad because I just touch up where there's colored paint but they removed the popcorn off the bathroom so I have to paint the entire bathroom ceiling too. At least the walls are done in that room??
I really hope H took that not-so-hint that I wanted a massage for mother's day. (I told MIL this weekend I had told him I wanted one too but that I "doubted he remembered" so we'll see if that double up helped lol.)

I had this same thought on Sunday while painting our family room. Our cat hates when I paint because it means she can't sit on me. She also follows me into the garage when I'm getting things ready, steps in the paint, and leaves paw prints all over the floor out there.
Additionally, there is a streak of paint in my hair today and someone at work already noticed. I too am going to pay someone to do the ceilings. We're having recessed lighting installed and will need to do some spackling anyway, so why not leave that to a pro?
