popping by with a kitchen question

Does anyone have a ductless vent for their range? We want to move our range to an island but trying to map out all the duct work for it to go outside has me pulling my hair out. We're DIYing most of the project.

So, if you have  a ductless range, does it work well? Do you have any ideas where I can get one that doesn't cost a thousand dollars?

TIA

Re: popping by with a kitchen question

  • We got our island hood from Sears for around $500 (marked down from around $1K originally). Island hoods do seem to cost quite a bit more than wall mounted, but I believe most hoods can be vented outside or converted to ductless. Just double check the specs to make sure whichever you go with can be ductless. Overstock also had some good deals on island hoods.

thank you! We might have to keep our old range for a bit longer to afford the hood but I think it will be worth it.
