  • Hehe, my hands would get too sweaty for that!
  • I can hardly walk and hold SO's hand!  I need my hands to be free to move when I'm moving.

  • That is weird.  How were they physically able to run while holding hands?
  • A little ridiculous right?!?  I saw a couple doing the same thing at the half i ran last fall.  I don't know how they do it.

  • That made me throw up in my mouth a little bit.

  • The whole time? Friends of mine run together and cheese it up for the finish pictures--hand holding, kisses--but don't get all schmoopy along the way.
  • Ew.  If I'm running with people we'll usually do something stupid at the finish.  Like a high five or holding hands...  but uh... not the whole way.  That's the kind of couple no one wants to be around.

I saw then do it for at least a mile way early on, like mile 3.

  • Yeah not for me and MH....BUT there was a couple running for TnT and they were older. Whenever the wife slowed down her husband held her hand and pulled her along. It brought tears to my eyes while I ran behind them.
  • I once had a couple try to get a cutesy finish line photo together in front of me while I was trying to kick it in.  they came to a dead stop so that she could jump on his  back piggy back style.  AT THE FINISH LINE.  this was not a small race either, so there wasn't any room for me to dodge and weave.

  • Considering DH tells me I need to swing my arms when I run, this would never happen.  And just for that dang comment I should throw an elbow his way just for the heck of it since I usually leave him eating my dust during races.
  • If M would stop yelling at me to "breathe right, move your feet, don't run like that!" he might consider holding my hand. But, that would also mean hell had frozen over so it's probably never going to happen.

*He means well, but dang I just want him shut up sometimes. I run differently than you do, deal with it man.
