Two questions and an intro

I just recently started venturing over to this board and wanted to officially say hey! I'm 25, currently live in Hawaii (H is military) but originally from Maine, no kids, 1 dog, work as a behavioral therapist, andddd yep..that's about it. =)

And my 2 questions are...

1) Do any of you use the Laura Geller baked powders? Balance 'n brighten or bronze 'n brighten? They are only available at one of the Macy's here on island and even then they are often sold out, so it's kind of annoying that if I loved them I'd have to constantly order online and pay the shipping to HI. Are they really that great?

2) DERMAdoctor KP Duty? I have those small bumps on my upper arms and was wondering if this could "cure" that? Whenever I see their ad about the chicken skin (ew..) or whatever, it sounds like what I have. I'd like to hear any reviews before I spend the $40 on it.

Thanks! I've enjoyed reading the posts on here lately, although this board could be quite damaging to my bank account.

Re: Two questions and an intro

  • hi! I knew your name looked familiar from somewhere. Haven't you been posting on here? or do I just remember you from the military board?

Anyway as far as #2 goes, I haven't tried that, but I have found that if I exfoliate using one of those cheapo glove things, it really helps with that issue! & moisturize.

I don't have experience with Laura Geller, but swear by KP Duty.  It's done wonders for my upper arms.

  • I've got to try out this KP duty you all are talking about! I've had those small bumps on my arms since HS and just assumed I'd always have them... Definitely interested.

And after you helped kick off the Lo & Sons craze over here I've considered you a regular :)

  • MrsHark -- yes I'm over on the MN board every so often =)

Hmmm..I guess I'll have to try out the KP Duty then. I've had these bumps since..middle school? They drive me crazy. One of my kids that I work with put her hand on my arm the other day and said "Oh Miss Erica, you must be cold you have goose bumps!". I've never really made an effort to do anything about them, but every time I see KP Duty I always wonder if it'll work.

Haha I noticed that Lo & Sons bag trend on here! I'm glad a few of you indulged and bought one! I can't wait to test mine out in a couple weeks when we head to Maui.
