She's standing now & baby jet lag update if you're interested

Our kiddo has started to stand on her own. Holyshit she's going to be walking somewhat soon, won't she?

She'll stand for about 30 seconds when she's playing and distracted.  Each time, it's kind of by accident and she seems to have no idea she's doing it.  Usually I'm laying on the floor playing with her, and she'll have one hand on me, one on a toy. Then she takes her hand off me she can play better and she just stands and plays and then puts her hands back on me or squats down. She did it like 10 times in a row the other day. She's very poised and balanced when she does it, which surprises me as I always figured kids started standing on purpose where they think and then lift their hands off whatever they were holding.  I never even considered it'd be accidental at first.

Yesterday I put her down when we were visiting work and she stood for a few seconds but then turned to grab my legs pretty quickly. Seems like if she knows she's not holding something, she'll grab, but if she's unaware she'll stand.

JET LAG:

THANK GOODNESS. We finally had a breakthrough the other night.  We have been stuck for about a week, unable to get her asleep before 11pm. Usually closer to midnight.  She was stuck in some weird time zone between australia and here.  Granted, it had only been 7-14 days since we had come back from 2 months there, but it was kind of killing us.  We were waking her up at 8:30am/9am to try to get her on an earlier schedule, but it's been HARD to get those last few hours adjusted.  We're still in some weird pattern, not quite back to normal naps/night sleep, but she went to bed at EIGHT PM 2 days in a row now! Yesterday, she slept 8pm-8am (brief wake ups to feed).

Tonight - down at 8pm, but it's been a hell of a night.   She's got gas issues tonight and has been waking up crying/drawing her legs up in pain.  :*(  And saying "Mama" in the most pitiful voice when she wakes. Breaks my heart.  She hasn't been fully awake, just sad until she farts.  Some dream crying too, but I think she's overtired b/c she had crap naps yesterday. I'm pumping now, and I think dh is going to be on comfort baby duty the rest of the night.  I'm beat.  (but he got home from work around 1am, so it's not like he's well rested either)

Ahhhh. Yes.  My life is mostly baby stuff right now.   I've wanted to write to so many of you on here when I lurk sometimes but I'm finding it very hard to get computer time and it's mostly allocated to work when I do.
